Deepali is passionate about helping more women entrepreneurs go online and grow their businesses through e-commerce. E-commerce has created strong income and growth opportunities for her, and she wants to share this knowledge with other women entrepreneurs.

Her mission is to mentor and empower 10,000 women entrepreneurs by providing practical training in e-commerce and digital marketing through her portal, wesellonline.org. So far, she has trained more than 3,200 women in selling online and digital marketing.

Deepali has worked as a consultant with the United Nations on e-commerce capacity building for women entrepreneurs in South Asian countries, including Nepal, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan. She worked with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF), Geneva, from 2019 to 2022.

In 2015, Deepali launched wesellonline.org to support women entrepreneurs in North Karnataka. “WE” stands for Women Entrepreneurs. The portal is now funded and operated by UNESCAP and EIF. It offers women entrepreneurs a free online platform and e-shop to promote their products and receive online enquiries.

It also provides a free e-commerce training course. After completing four modules, both women and men receive a certificate from UNESCAP and EIF. The portal includes links to the e-commerce marketplace, online training courses, and an e-commerce manual.

From January to March 2023, Deepali worked as a Master Trainer for workshops organized by the UBUNTU Consortium in partnership with UNESCAP. These workshops were conducted in Hyderabad and cities across Karnataka, including, Bengaluru, Mysuru,Udupi Mangaluru, Kalaburagi, and Bidadi, where she trained more than 3900 women entrepreneurs.

Deepali believes that knowledge of e-commerce and digital marketing is essential in today’s business environment. She encourages women to enroll in the course, highlighting that there is no fee to create an e-shop or to attend the training.

WESELLONLINE (Women Entrepreneurs SELL ONLINE) is a training platform, designed to build the capacity of women entrepreneurs in South Asia to leverage the potential of e-Commerce for expanding their business. The women entrepreneurs receiving training in e-Commerce under the Wesellonline project will be able to display their products at the platform to generate queries from potential customers, for possible business opportunities. However, the platform cannot be used for conducting actual sell-purchase which must be conducted outside of the platform. It is only a platform for hands-on training/demonstration purposes for the participants of the program as a part of their learning activities. Once trained, entrepreneurs are expected to list their products at one of the e-marketplaces available in their respective countries or develop their own platforms for conducting their business.

To be part of this platform, eligible participants of the Wesellonline training programs are invited to register themselves as an entrepreneur. Once the registration process is successfully completed, women entrepreneurs can showcase their products and other details, while the customers looking for relevant products can raise inquiries with the respective women entrepreneurs.
